Two Types of E-mail Marketing – Prospects and Clients

With e-mail marketing there are two main types that you will be doing. E-mail marketing to prospects and e-mail marketing to clients, both play an extremely important role.

In prospect e-mail marketing you are e-mailing people who are yet to buy your product, so your focus is mainly on getting them to trust you enough to buy.

Client e-mail marketing is different, these people have already purchased from you, and so your focus is on keeping that person happy by providing them with useful and supportive information which relates to what they have already purchased. You also may try to have them buy different products or services so they become a repeat customer.

Things to Remember When E-mail Marketing

Remember that when you are e-mail marketing there are quite a few things that you must do to ensure that your e-mail is not seen as “Spam.” The keys to remember are:

  • Always have an unsubscribe link in your e-mail so people can stop receiving your e-mails if they wish.

Mostly remember that if you decide to use e-mail marketing for your business, it is not all about selling to your customers or prospects, sending them an e-mail with just pure content will help you get more sales next time you send them a sales pitch.
