It's A WAHM (work at home mom) Thing was co-founded and is co-owned by two successful work at home moms Missy Ward and Rae (Hoffman) Dolan. Our contributing writers are an amazing group of moms that have also found a way to achieve the success they were looking for. when they decided to work from home.

This site was founded with the hope that collectively we could help other moms find that same success. Be it earning enough to take a great vacation every summer or running a powerhouse company that takes no prisoners – whatever that goal is, we have moms contributing here that have achieved it.

About the founders

missy wardMissy Ward is the Co-Founder of Affiliate Summit, FeedFront Magazine, GeekCast.fm, VelocityNYC Press, AffStat.com and the Founder of AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com and Women Online Marketers United (joinWOMU.com). In addition, she’s also the Co-Publisher of Revenews.com and Revenews.org and manages multiple affiliate sites of her own.

Missy is a contributor and editor of the Internet Marketing from the Real Experts and has a new book out called “It’s All About the Cookies“, which is a business book cleverly disguised as a cookbook. The net proceeds of the sales of these books are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, respectively.

For the last 12+ years, Missy has helped companies grow their businesses successfully using the pay-for-performance model. Before she worked for herself, she was Director of Public Relations for Media Breakaway LLC, Vice President of Partnership Marketing for eBound Strategies, President of Aluria Software and Vice-President of Marketing for Global Travel International.

Missy is a dedicated wife and mom to her two boys. She hates cold weather, flavored coffee and meat. She loves wine. Lots and lots of wine. You can read more about her on Missy Ward's Affiliate Marketing Blog, her personal blog or follow her on Twitter @missyward or on Google+.

rae hoffmanRae (Hoffman) Dolan, aka Sugarrae, is the Co-Founder and CEO of PushFire, a digital marketing agency that specializes in providing SEO analysis and professional PPC management. In addition to her search marketing agency, Rae also owns and operates several websites in multiple niches – including Custom Comet (a custom printed promotional products company), Tin Pig (her country lifestyle blog), & Audrey Micah Investments.

16+ years ago Rae started a small website about her son and his medical condition that became one of the first international support groups and largest website in general on the topic. It earned national media coverage and helped further medical research in the field.

Investigating ways to support that site, she found affiliate marketing and became one of the most well known voices in the affiliate landscape and organic search engine optimization – speaking on both topics at conferences around the world.

When she's not working, Rae spends time with her husband and three children ages 6-16 and knowing that her fourth (and oldest) son always watches over her from above. A self professed “White-Collar Redneck”, she also loves playing pool, watching football, cheap bars, and considers her pick-up truck her favorite possession. You can follow Rae on Twitter @sugarrae or Google+.
